BIOGRAPHY

AMBER MAK (Director/Choreographer): is excited to be returning to Drury Lane where she last choreographed the Jeff nominated production of Singin’ in the Rain.  Other Directing/Choreography credits in the Chicagoland area include The Sound of Music, Rock of Ages, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Jeff nominated Best Production), The Wizard of Oz (Jeff nominated for Best Production/Direction), Disney’s The Little Mermaid (Jeff nominated for Best Production), Hairspray, and Elf  at the Paramount Theatre. Other credits include, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and  Peter Pan, a musical Adventure (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre), and Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story at the Marriott Theatre as well as many other regional productions. SDC Observer/assistant to Susan Stroman on Big Fish (Chicago and Broadway). She is a proud Northwestern University graduate. Favorite productions to date are her two kids who she hopes she inspires half as much as they inspire her. Always a huge thank you to her partner, Michael, and her incredible associates and designers.

RIW RAKKULCHON (Scenic Designer) (pronounced Ree-you) is a Set & Costume Designer, Animator and Chef from Bangkok, Thailand. He/They has worked at Yale Repertory Theatre, Syracuse Stage, The Old Globe, Drury Lane Theatre, Asolo Rep, The Acting Company, 59E59, Edinburgh Fringe, Primary Stages, Hartford Stage, The Public Theatre, amongst others. Broadway Associate Set Design: Pass Over, &Juliet, Parade Board member of WithAll, a non-profit Organization on a fight to end eating disorders. B.F.A. Ithaca College, M.F.A Yale School of Drama (Donald & Zorca Oenslager Fellowship Award in Design Recipient). IG: @riwrdesign

THERESA HAM (Costume Designer) is a Chicago based Costume Designer. She has designed for over 100 theatrical productions including plays, musicals, and opera. Most recently for Drury Lane, she designed Matilda. Other selections include Ride the Cyclone (Off-Broadway), Little Shop of Horrors (Alabama Shakespeare Festival), Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Paramount Theatre), Carmen (Fingerlakes Opera), and Hello Dolly! (Marriott Theatre). In Chicago, her work has been seen at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Paramount Theatre, Marriott Theatre, Victory Gardens, Porchlight Theatre, Drury Lane Theatre, Raven theatre, Timeline Theatre, and Northlight Theatre. Regional highlights include: Alliance Theatre, Asolo Theatre, ACT Theatre, Delaware Theatre Company, Ogunquit Playhouse. Film work includes: Paper Girls (Amazon Prime) and Hot Mess Holiday (Comedy Central). Theresa is the recipient of 3 Joseph Jefferson Awards for Outstanding Costume Design, and 12 additional nominations. She also received the 2018 Barrymore Award for Outstanding Costume Design. Ms. Ham supervises the costume shop at Loyola University Chicago. She received an MFA from Illinois State University and a BA from Eastern Illinois University.

JOSÉ SANTIAGO (Lighting Designer) is a New York City based Lighting Designer. CASSY SCHILLO (Props Design Supervisor and Warehouse Manager) is thrilled to be with the Drury Lane family and honored to be a recipient of the 2019 Jeff award in Artistic Specialization for Properties design.  Drury Lane credits include Grease, A Chorus Line, Elf the Musical, Murder on the Orient Express, Steel Magnolias, R&H The King and I, Evita, Holiday Inn, Forever Plaid, An American in Paris, Mary Poppins, The Color Purple, And Then There Were None, Matilda, Mamma Mia!, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, South Pacific, Joseph…, 42nd Street, Rock of Ages, The Gin Game, Chicago, Saturday Night Fever, Crazy for You, & Smokey Joe’s Cafe.  Jeff Nominated for DL’s Deathtrap as well as First Folio’s Salvage and All Childish Things. Designs in the Midwest include: productions for Marriott Lincolnshire, Theatre Wit, Theatre at the Center, Music Theater Works, Theo Ubique, Griffin, BoHo, Stage Left, Porchlight, Northwestern Opera, Piccolo, Sideshow, Black Ensemble, and Mammals.  LARRY BAKER (Production Stage Manager) Larry’s stage management career began with Cinderella at Drury Lane South featuring Laurel Cronin. Other related credits include: Rodgers &Hammerstein’s: South Pacific (Long Beach Civic Light, Drury Lane Oakbrook, TUTS), King & I (Drury Lane Oakbrook), APLA’s Commitment To Life with Julie Andrews, Beauty And The Beast with Amber Mak (Marriott), Radio City Christmas Show (Los Angeles), National Holiday Tree Lighting (Presidents Bill Clinton & Barack Obama). ANTHONY CHURCHILL (Projection Design) is very excited to be back at Drury Lane Theatre!  He has also worked with Marriott Theatre, FeverUp Productions, Timeline Theatre, Chicago Opera Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Grand Rapids Civic Theatre, the U.S. State Department, Rivendell Theatre, The Cher Show, Q Brothers, and the Museum of Broadcast Communications.  He is a proud member of USA 829.  Tony has been nominated for seven Jeff Awards for Projections, and awarded one. When not working on media, he enjoys sculpting tiny astronauts in peril, and exploring with his beautiful wife Sara, and rescue pitbulls: Cheetoh and Douglass. www.artlabchicago.com

CASIE MORELL (Assistant Stage Manager) (she/her) is excited to return to Drury Lane for the holidays! Most recently she has worked at Peninsula Players Theater, the Marriott Theater, and Lookingglass Theater. A proud Nashville native, Casie has also worked with Timeline Theater, the Mercury Theater, 16th Street, the Chicago Children’s Theatre, First Folio, Theatre at the Center, Porchlight, Music Theatre Works, and with the Northwestern Opera. She has also worked regionally at the Clarence Brown Theatre in Knoxville, TN, The Weidner Center in Green Bay WI, and Third Ave Playworks in Sturgeon Bay.
