MATT CROWLE (Director and Choreographer) returns to Drury Lane where he last directed and choreographed Crazy For You (Jeff Award – Best Choreography; Jeff Nomination – Best Director; Jeff Nomination – Best Musical). Crowle’s choreography was also Jeff nominated for Drury Lane’s White Christmas and Singin’ In The Rain. Other favorite directorial credits include: Peter And The Starcatcher and The Drowsy Chaperone, both at Peninsula Players Theatre in Door County. He earned his BFA under the mentorship of the late, great Dr. Bruce Kirle. Many thanks to Mandy Modic, Darian Tene, and Christa South for helping to make these production numbers a reality and to Lindsay Drexler for her magically discerning eye for honesty and comedic detail. LINDA MADONIA (Music Director) is thrilled to return to Drury Lane where she last conducted Curtains. Other credits include; A Chorus Line, Billy Elliott and Freaky Friday at Porchlight Music Theater, Pirates of Penzance, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Mamma Mia at Music Theater Works where Linda also serves as the CFM Music Contractor and Chamber Opera Chicago’s International tour of Persuasion to name a few. During the day, Linda is the voice coach for the Masters Degree Music Theatre program at Carthage College and owns American Eagle Productions, a touring theatre company that takes shows and workshops directly into schools. American Eagle has been doing shows for twenty-seven years and presents 150 shows a year to Chicago area schools.
JEFFREY D. KMIEC (Scenic Design) is an award-winning Chicago-based Production Designer and Art Director. His designs have been seen at Drury Lane Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, The Lyric Opera, Paramount Theatre, Marriott Theatre, Timeline Theatre, American Players Theatre, Northlight Theatre, Porchlight, Raven Theatre, The Artistic Home, Illinois Shakespeare Festival, Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre, Heritage Theatre Festival and The Children’s Theatre of Charlotte. Jeffrey received his MFA from the University of Virginia, BA from Illinois State University, and is a member of USA 829.
LYNDA MYERS (Costume Design) worked for most of her career as a Costume Design Assistant. She is especially proud of her work on more than 60 productions at Guthrie Theatre (Minneapolis) and Shakespeare Theatre Company (Washington, DC). In 2017, Lynda took on the new challenge of heading the Costume Department at Drury Lane, where she previously designed Little Shop of Horrors and Mamma Mia! Having spent many hours during shutdown watching 1940s movies, Lynda is excited to be back as the Costume Designer of Holiday Inn. She hopes you enjoy the music and charming fashion of this era as much as she does!
LEE FISKNESS (Lighting Designer) has designed a dozen shows at Drury Lane including: The 39 Steps, Holiday Inn, Forever Plaid, An American in Paris. Chicago credits: Steppenwolf, Goodman, Chicago Shakespeare, Lyric Opera, Marriott Theatre, Court Theatre, Writers Theatre, Lookingglass Theatre, Lightscape at Chicago Botanical Gardens. Regionally: Kennedy Center, Manhattan Theatre Club, Mark Taper Forum, Cincinnati Playhouse, Emerson Colonial Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Milwaukee Rep. Opera: San Jose, Dallas, Colorado, Portland, Kentucky, Florentine Opera, Lyric Opera. International; The Jurassic World Exhibition (China), Le Nozze di Figaro (Japan), Movement Stories (Abu Dhabi). BRYCE CUTLER (Projections Designer) Previous designs include Grand Horizons on Broadway, 2020 Pulitzer Prize finalist Soft Power at the Public Theater along with world premieres by John Patrick Shanley, Dael Orlandersmith, Matt Aucoin, Grammy Award winner Steve Mackey, Samsung’s virtual reality television series Interpretation of Dreams, Feel The Pride an AI powered audio-visual installation with St. Vincent and a virtual reality arcade for Muse’s 2019 World Tour. LINDSAY DREXLER (Associate Director) Lindsay is delighted to be involved in her first Drury Lane production! Though this is Lindsay’s first time in an Associate Director role, she is no stranger to the theater scene. She is Cofounder of CaptionPoint, which has provided captioning for several theaters in Chicago, including Northlight, Steppenwolf, Court, and now Drury Lane. She also enjoyed a brief stint as an assistant sewer in the Barter Theatre costume shop, where her favorite task was recreating Dorothy’s iconic ruby red slippers. Lindsay earned a Bachelor of Arts in media studies at NIU and is a proud 2021 Disability Lead Fellow. She sends an abundance of love to her husband and their dogs Mickey and Penny, who will no doubt get a kick out of reading their names in print.
