BIOGRAPHY

MARICA MILGROM DODGE (Director and Choreographer) is a Tony & Drama Desk Award nominated director & choreographer for her stirring & lovingly staged Broadway-Kennedy Center revival of Ragtime (Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Director.)  For Drury Lane: Mary Poppins, Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, Smokey Joe’s Café (Jeff Award-Best Revival.)  On TV, Dodge appears as herself in Disney+ Encore!; choreographed Sesame Street-The Tango Festival and Elmo’s Wild West.  Dodge’s bold new approaches to classic plays & musicals include Disney’s Beauty & The Beast (Olney Theatre Center); Fiddler On The Roof and The King & I (Maltz Jupiter Theatre, both with new choreography.) Exciting premieres include Closer Than Ever (Off-Bway), William Finn’s Romance in Hard Times (Public Theater.) Dodge is also a  wife, a mother, a teacher, and a proud member of the Stage Directors & Choreographers Society (SDC). This year, MMD became a “@WarbyPartner” for Warby Parker modeling the Kimball frames. @marciamilgromdodge

ROBERTA DUCHAK (Music Director) returns to Drury Lane after music directing Roald Dahl’s Matilda and Mamma Mia! earlier this year and Six at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre (Jeff Nomination). Other Drury Lane credits include: 42nd Street, Rock of Ages, Chicago, Saturday Night Fever, Smokey Joe’s Café, (Jeff Nomination), Crazy For You, Hazel, Billy Elliot, Les Misérables, (Jeff Nomination), West Side Story, White Christmas, Young Frankenstein, Hello Dolly!, Oliver!, The Sound of Music (Jeff Nomination), Sweeney Todd (Jeff Nomination), Ragtime (Jeff Nomination), Spamalot (Jeff Nomination), Gypsy, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Miss Saigon (Jeff Nomination). Chicago MD credits: Brigadoon (Goodman), The Story of My Life directed by Richard Maltby Jr. (Biograph), The Original Grease (ATC), The Little Mermaid (Chicago Shakespeare), Rocky Horror (Mercury), and Music Supervisor for A Little Night Music (Writers). She was also the vocal coach for Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman for the Les Misérables film.

PAUL RUBIN (Flying Sequence Choreographer) served as Franco Dragone’s Flying Director for his new open-ended production of La Perle which opened in Dubai August of 2017 and is a proud member of The Academy of Magical Arts at The Magic Cast in Hollywood, CA. He has created flying sequences for productions in over 30 countries including: Singapore, Spain, Macau, South Africa, Malaysia, England, Australia, Korea, Turkey, Columbia, China, Norway, and Japan. BROADWAY: Wicked, Doctor Zhivago, Curtains (with David Hyde Pierce), The Pirate Queen, Peter Pan (with Cathy Rigby), Kiss Me Kate, Frozen, The Green Bird, Dance of the Vampires, Fiddler on the Roof, Bombay Dreams, and Saturday Night Fever. KEVIN DEPINET (Set Designer) returns to Drury Lane where he last designed Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins. He has designed for the Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Paramount Theatre, McCarter Theatre, Court Theatre, Writers Theatre, Drury Lane Theatre, Chicago Children’s Theatre, Denver Center Theatre Company, Arden Theatre Company, Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Glimmerglass Opera, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, American Players Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theatre, and The Mark Taper Forum. Broadway credits include Associate Designer for August: Osage County, The Motherf**ker with the Hat, and Of Mice and Men. National tours credits include Camelot and Ragtime. Mr. Depinet has also designed for the National Theatre of Great Britain in London, the Discovery Channel, Netflix, 21st Century Fox, and Disney.

ROBIN L. MCGEE (Costume Design) is extremely happy to be making her Chicago area debut here at Drury Lane.  New York credits include designs for the Roundabout Theatre, Irish Repertory Theatre, York Theatre, Cherry Lane Theatre, Little Shubert Theatre, American Globe Theatre, New York Fringe Festival. CLAIRE MOORES (Hair and Wig Designer) is pleased to join Drury Lane for this production of Mary Poppins. Drury Lane designs include: And Then There Were None, Mamma Mia!, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, South Pacific, Joseph, 42ndStreet, The Gin Game, Chicago, Crazy for You, and Smokey Joe’s Cafe. Ms. Moores is a wigmaker and makeup artist with over 35 years’ experience at Lyric Opera of Chicago. She has worked on touring shows including Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Titanic, Phantom of the Opera, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Showboat. Her film experience includes Public Enemies, Road to Perdition, High Fidelity, and Amityville Horror. She has designed wigs for Pine Mountain Music Festival and Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire and has served as wig master for American Players Theatre. 

JIM STEINMEYER (Illusion Design) was called by The New York Times the “celebrated ‘invisible man’—inventor, designer, and creative brain behind many of the great stage magicians.” His illusions have been featured by Doug Henning, Siegfried and Roy, David Copperfield, Ricky Jay, and many others. He created the special illusions for Broadway’s Beauty and the Beast, Into the Woods, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Mary Poppins, and Aladdin. He is also the author of books on the history and practice of magic.

KATE DEVORE (Dialect Coach) is delighted to return to Drury Lane where she has coached And Then There Were None, Matilda, Mamma Mia!, and Beauty and the Beast. Additional select coaching credits include West Side Story (Lyric Opera Chicago);  The King’s Speech (Chicago Shakespeare Theater), Bernhardt/Hamlet, Sweat, A Christmas Carol, Support Group for Men, The Wolves, A View From the Bridge, Uncle Vanya, Another Word For Beauty, Feathers and Teeth, The Jungle Book, and Sweet Bird of Youth (Goodman Theatre); The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time (Steppenwolf Theatre Company); Small Mouth Sounds, Evening at the Talk House, The Opponent, Butcher of Baraboo, and Abigail’s Party (A Red Orchid Theatre). Kate is the founder and master trainer of Total Voice, Inc., which provides voice, speech, and presence coaching. She teaches at The School at Steppenwolf, Columbia College, and Acting Studio Chicago. She has presented at numerous conferences and workshops nationwide and is author of The Voice Book: Caring For, Protecting, and Improving Your Voice, and the eBook Accent Modification: Neutral American Dialect. 

DOMINIQUE NADEAU (Dramaturg) earned her BA in Theater Studies and Dramaturgy from Webster University in St. Louis, MO and is currently working towards her M.Ed. in Drama in Education from Trinity College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland. She is the creator of the Lisle Park District’s Theatre Program and has been the Artistic Director there for six years. Her recent dramaturgy credits include Stick Fly (Writers Theater) and Women in Assembly (Thinking Cap Theatre, Fort Lauderdale, FL). During the week, Dominique spends her time teaching fine arts for grades K-8.
