Drury Lane Theatre announced its 2018-19 season Tuesday.
First up is Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Pulitzer Prize-winning musical “South Pacific” (April 5-June 17). Next up is Tennessee Williams’ “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” (July 5-Aug. 26), to be directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge. “Little Shop of Horrors” (Sept. 6-Oct. 28), Howard Ashman and Alan Menken’s dark comedy about a predatory plant, follows in the fall. For the holiday season, Alan Souza will direct Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” (Nov. 9-Jan. 27) Closing out the season will be the third Chicago production of “Mamma Mia!” (Feb. 7-April 14), the ABBA jukebox musical about a bride-to-be’s paternal search.
Performances take place at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.
