ROY JAMES BROWN (Marshall) is thrilled to be making his Drury Lane Debut with Ring of Fire!! A native of Chicagoland, he has spent the past few years performing all across the country, and is happy to be performing back home once again. He comes straight from his 4th Million Dollar Quartet as Brother Jay at Little Theatre on the Square. Other credits: Buddy: the Buddy Holly Story (Joe B. ELLEON DOBIAS (Viv) Originally from Colorado, Elleon’s work as an actor, musician, and writer has kept her traveling for a handful of years, and she is always happy to return to Chicago. Favorite local credits include Once (Writers Theatre), Haymarket (Underscore Theatre), Indecent (Victory Gardens), Fantastic Mr. Fox (Emerald City), and seasons with the Chicago Metropolitan and the Lakeshore Symphony Orchestras. Aside from performing, Elleon can be found backpacking, drawing, and trying spicy versions of regular things.
ERIK HELLMAN (Luther & U/S Johnny) is thrilled to be making his first appearance at Drury Lane. Erik is a Chicago based actor whose recent credits include: Let The Right One In at Berkeley Rep.; Captain Von Trap in The Sound of Music at The Marriott; Lindiwe, Familiar, The Burn and The Crucible at Steppenwolf; Othello, Mousetrap, One Man Two Gov’nors, The Misanthrope, Proof, and The Mystery of Irma Vep at Court Theatre; Smart People and Marjorie Prime at Writer’s Theatre; Georgiana and Kitty, Miss Bennet and Lost in Yonkers at Northlight; Eastland at Lookingglass; and Luna Gale at the Goodman. He has received 4 Jeff Award Nominations. Along with his wife, Jessie Fisher, he hosts the Variety Show Erik and Jessie and Everyone You Know. Film/TV work includes The Dark Knight, Walden, “Chicago Fire”, “Chicago PD”, “The Good Fight”, “Mrs. America:”, “Fargo”, “61st Street”, and the upcoming David Fincher filmThe Killer.
MICHAEL POTTER (J.R.) recently de-barked from the cruiseliner The Norwegian Getaway where he performed as Johnny Cash in their production of Million Dollar Quartet for the past two winter seasons, and most recently playing Elvis while they sailed the Mediterranean. He has been a part of various productions of MDQ as both Elvis and Cash including the national tour in New York as Cash and has toured with a band out of Nashville as Elvis in the “Presley, Perkins, Lewis and Cash” tribute show. DARCY JO WOOD (U/S June) returns to the Drury Lane stage where she was last seen in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Wood was recently featured in the world premiere of “Sweet Dreams; The Air Supply Musical starring Omar Cardona (The Voice). Select Theatre credits: Heartbreak Hotel (Broadway Playhouse), Million Dollar Quartet (original Chicago cast), and Dee Snider’s Rock & Roll Christmas Tale (Broadway Playhouse). TV: Empire (FOX); Chicago Med (NBC); David Letterman Show (CBS). Film: The Rake, Skeletons in the Closet (both available on Amazon Prime Video). Darcy is also the creator, writer, and producer of her own retro girl group The Lovettes who were recently featured on PBS’ Next Doo Wop Generations. RON E. RAINS (Johnny) returns to Drury Lane, having starred in Billy Elliott, Little Shop of Horrors, Big!, A Christmas Carol and 1776. Ron is known for his role as Peter Rosenthal, head film critic for The Onion. He regularly works at Chicago’s other premier theaters, notably appearing in The Goodman Theatre’s A Christmas Carol for 11 seasons. Recently, Ron appeared in Writers Theatre’s production of Once. He’s been on “Chicago Med” and “Chicago Justice”, and in several independent films including Brooklyn ’45, currently on Shudder.
